As we are coming into the frontal winter season its import to remember the following safety tips:
-Pick an appropriate location for your skill level
-Pick a beach where the wind isn’t onshore.
-Watch the horizon for incoming fronts.
-Check the forecast before you head out, so you are prepared
-Avoid going out in conditions above your ability. If in doubt, don't go out.
-If you are learning don’t practice flying a powered kite on the beach, head out into the water.
-if you are taking friends out to learn, don’t leave them unattended (better yet get an insured and qualified instructor to give lessons).
Remember WAKSA membership helps keep our local beaches open and provides you with third party liability and extensive personal accident cover, a must for the winter season! ... See MoreSee Less
